Of course, some characteristics are more common in some places and less common in others, but in general most of the variation between human beings occurs between individuals. In this sense it would make more sense to say that each human being is his own (race) accompanied by his closest relatives regardless of anything. Each individual is a more unique combination than anything else shared (especially outside the family). If your biological brother has completely different eye, skin and hair colors than you do, you are still much closer to him than to any other person with the same pigmentation outside your family.
