Worldwide, green eyes are the rarest, overall 2% only. Nevertheless, in Northern Europe pure green eyes are relatively common though are surpassed by blue and gray eyes. It isn't just in the British Islands, but also in Iceland, Scandinavia, the Baltic region and nearby areas such as the Netherlands, Northern Germany etc...
Afghanistan doesn't rival Northern European countries! Yes there are some of them who are green-eyed but the population by far is predominantly brown-eyed!
There seem to be a correlation with red hair, green eyes and a very pale skin, since this coloring combination is most common in Celtic countries. Ireland most likely has the highest frequency for green eyes.

croatia must be around 15% blond. I've been to austria , and no way only 10% are blond more like 25-30%, austrians are definitely considerably blonder than the french people. . Ireland is no more blond than 15%, england about 20-25% and scotland around 20%. Netherlands and Northern germany are blonder than the baltic states, I have been among natives of those places, estonians are not as blond as you might imagine, they have heavily mixed with russians anyways, and there arent that many ethnic estonians left. Norway, Sweden and Finland heavily depend on what region you are, its much easier with smaller and more compact european populations. Overall your estimations seem taken from a child book.
Lies! Lies! Bloody, you are the one with he child book. The Baltic States (particularly Estonia and Latvia) are well among the blondest and light-eyed countries in the world! In these characteristics these nations are very similar to the Scandinavian countries in pigmentation than any other nations including the Netherlands and Germany (including it's northern region). "True blondism" (blond hair + blue/gray eyes + fair skin) probably originates in the Baltic region. Though facially they don't resemble Scandinavians much, rather look like East/North Slavs, the difference is that the Dutch and North Germans look more similar facially to Scandinavians than the Balts but they are not blonder than them.
    Blond hair %:
    Northern Germany - 43%
    Germany - 26%
    Northern Netherlands - 41.2%
    Netherlands - 32.3%
    vs
    Estonia - 48.7%
    Latvia - 44.5%
    Lithuania - 39.3%
Yes, Austria is blonder-haired than Croatia, anywhere between 20%-30% of them are naturally blond similar to the southern parts of Germany. In England due to the Anglo-Saxon invasion, the general range is between 30%-40% but it is lower in the Celtic Fringe in Scotland (26.1%) and Wales (22.5%), so for the U.K. the overall frequency is 25%-27%. Additionally to blond hair, red hair is also common in Great Britain unlike in Germany and Austria where it is less frequent. Red hair is most common in the Celtic fringe and Northern England.

Honestly I don't think that in Piemonte or Veneto 4 persons in a group of 10 can have blue and green eyes.
a correct estimation can be 3/10 as say recent statistics.
Most common colour of the eyes in Italy is middle and light brown. As everywhere in southern Europe.
Yes indee! Those stats are completely correct and reflect the great variation that we see in the Italian population. Italy is not uniformly dark, some regions are much lighter-eyed than others. Livi was perfectly right.

Only 9% of Portuguese have blue eyes! This frequency is even lower than that of Italy (10.3%) or Spain (11.75%). Though Greeks have a slightly lower percentage as well. Portuguese is one of the best example of a Mediterranean country in Europe!

    Blue eyes percentages:
    Belgium - 28.9%
    France - 20.2%
    Algeria - 2.6%
    Morocco - 2.1%
    Tunisia - 1.2%

Well I'd say us Flemish have slightly thicker lips than the English and Scottish. You might be right on that aspect.

I understand- we try imagine weselves as "aryan" and Scandinavian as possible, but it´´s ridiculous to claim that you claimedOf course, there are brown eyes among estonians.

We are generally of course a"light" nation, bu a bit less lighter than the Scandies and the Finns. There are not so much whithe-heades among Estonians (if any completely white-headed one?)as there are in Sweden-Norway etc.The most similar people in my mind to us are the Latvians(despite different language).
It is true. Estonia is among the lightest and blondest-haired nations in the world. The most common hair colour is blonde. Approximately 48% of Estonians are blond-haired and the commonest eye colour is grayish-blue, altogether 89% have light eyes.

Well, he might be right. He has made some important discoveries and has been researching the human genome for almost 40 years.
Nope. Not right! In Denmark, 50.7% (blue eyes), 33.4% (green eyes), 15.9% (brown eyes). It's 84.1% for light eyes compared to 89% for Estonia.

Nordic people can have green. As for the Nordic race... well:
    does it exist?
    Is it relevant?
    who are the gatekeepers?
