I don't think Maltese are really much different from South Italians and Sicilians.

Actually they are, their Arabian scores are much higher than Sicilians let alone South Italians who barely have any. If the Maltese were not Westernized and Christianized they would have been seen as pure Semitic/Middle Eastern nation. They speak a dialect of Arabic.

Common instruments might produce superficial resemblence. And with regards to phenotypes - Eastern Georgians do have some similarity in looks with both Azeris and Armenians but Western ones look more North Turkish/North-West Caucasus.

They score much higher SouthWest Asian as well North African and bits of East African. The Maltese results can be seen on Dodcode and 23andme as well in Eurogenes they are not similar to South Italians, they only share some links with Sicilians but in all and all they are the most Arabian influenced Europeans.

Yes, also the people in northeast Turkey looks similar to Georgians but you gotta consider the fact that Stalin forcefully expelled out about 150.000 Turks from western Georgia to Siberian deserts during WW-2. Some of them should prefer to hide their identity to be able to stay in western Georgia

Huh? You mean Ahiska Turks? They're mostly assimilated Georgians that lost their identity anyway. Not to mention that most of North Eastern Turkey is area of historical Laz and Georgian settlement.
