Very nice. There are many Galicians and Andalusians who settled here too:

Nice! I think one of the bands are actually of Galician origins. I can tell by the different color of the costumes and specifically the different hats we use versus the Asturians.......we're both very similar though.

    Asturians

    Galicians

There is a saying amongst Galicians and Asturians.

"Gallegos y Asturianos, primos hermanos" or Galicians and Asturians, blood cousins.
"Rich Gallaecia sent its youths, wise in the knowledge of divination by the entrails of beasts, by feathers and flames, now howling barbarian songs in the tongues of their homelands, now alternately stamping the ground in their rhythmic dances until the ground rang, and accompanying the playing with sonorous bagpipes".....Silius Italicus, Punica

Do you regard Northern Portugal as part of a greater Galicia? I'm asking because I have ancestry from Minho.

I do, in a romantic sense. I think, for example, that the southern provinces of Galicia, Ourense and Pontevedra have more of a connection with northern Portugal. On my mother's side, for example, which a from Ourense, we have many family members who are part Portuguese. On 23andme, I actually have more Portuguese relatives than Spanish.
