I've noticed that Slavic countries which use the Cyrillic alphabet tend to be Orthodox, while Slavic countries which are predominantly Roman Catholic use the Latin alphabet.

Belarus had Latin alphabet in the past. The Belarusian Latin alphabet is similar to Sorbian ( ethnicity in eastern Germany) alphabet which I didn't know. Today, the latin alphabet is used by some people in diaspora or on the Internet.

Łacinka was occasionally used in the Belarusian area mainly in the 19th century and first years of the 20th century. Belarusian was officially written only in the Latin script between 1941 and 1944, in the Nazi German-occupied Belarusian territories.
It is used occasionally in its current form by certain authors, groups and promoters in the Nasha Niva weekly, the ARCHE journal, and some of the Belarusian diaspora press on the Internet.

Which one do you personally prefer? Cyrillic or Latin?

I grew up using Cyrillic in all Slavic languages. It's awkward using Latin now. So, Cyrillic alphabet for Slavic languages. Latin for transliteration.

Cyprus is turquoise because of the Turkish part. Turks keep Latin alive in Cyprus.

Fraktur isn't used anymore and thankfully so. It makes reading so annoying. It's more of a font than an alphabet anyway. Dutch speakers never used it, as is the sensible thing to do.

EDIT: Actually, Dutch text were printed in fraktur centuries ago. I remember reading 17th century text like that. The language itself was legible despite the time difference, but the font made it a very slow and exhausting read.

Btw, one American tourist asked me:
When the Czechs left Cyrillic script for Latin one? After fall of the Communism?
    My answer shocked him:
    More than 1000 years ago
