Most of the dates I've been on were the result of friends introducing me to their female friends, though no lasting relationships ever resulted, despite that the dates were more pleasurable with those women than with people I sought out independently as we were able to predetermine trustworthiness to a degree because of our mutual friends.

Seriously I thought its only in TV screen and a rather old school* way to meet a chick, by being match-making to someone by their friends, the blind dates and stuff

*I mean like really oldschool, like of our grannies childhood - i guess in their times it was kind of normal

Not entirely. I have few good friends that I meet first online, and then in real life. Oh, and did I mentioned that once I scored a chick from another board? Well, after all we were not friends or such, but at least I had some good memories too.

It is old school, but it's even worse in my hometown. As a child the elder ladies would always seek out the males of the big names in county and try to set up their granddaughters with 'em, my family being a known family meant that I was to be bothered, in them days I was reclusive as I was young yet to be thinking about that stuff.

Meeting people is quite a ridiculous and absurd notion, which I certainly don't try to apply to my own day to day life in a direct fasion. If I find myself in a group of a people then I will proceed to greet a few people I know, and to discuss somethings with people. But socializing is an overrated concept in my opinion, but it can be good for trying to come to understand yourself better through the expressions and emotions of other selves that you interact with.


I think you also develop a lot of power and influence in learning how to interact with others in a social situation. I think the importance of meeting others should be done on the basis of more economical and professional reasons.


Petty and Trifle relationships tend to be the offspring of many relationships you will make in social affairs, and it is rare to find any true or authentic friends. I think its best to stick to yourself, because there are few you can trust.


Its must easier to meet people online and communicate with them, even though its in an abstract manner. I find people on sites like this even difficult to talk with if they are a bit tense and aggressive.


In real life I notice the constant angst and trepidiously rapid confluency of thoughts, speech, and emotions among people in personal conversations. I think this might be an American trait, but I think it exists in some other form and for other reasons among other peoples.
