I wanted to watch that film, but I hate subtitles. It looks good though!

I'm hoping this film is on par with these films. Although it is more sci-fi orientated and not horror.

Default Iron Sky: When Space Nazis Attack

Sci-Fi Parody Masters to Launch Space Nazi Flick

Young Finnish filmmakers whose debut parody was an instant Internet success have now embarked on another science-fiction adventure. While the first movie was largely made as a hobby, this new film is an international, multi-million adventure about space Nazis.

In 2005, Star Wreck, a full-length science fiction parody was released for free on the Internet and almost immediately gained a cult following. Now Star Wreck masterminds Samuli Torssonen, Timo Vuorensola and Jarmo Puskala are planning to unleash space Nazis on an unsuspecting public.

With more money and experience under their belts, they can afford things their first movie never dreamed of - like sets and real actors.

Producers will begin filming the Iron Sky feature film in Frankfurt next spring, and they hope to have the movie finished by the end of 2010.

But while Star Wreck was a practically zero-budget flick filmed against a bluescreen in someone's living room, Iron Sky has around five million euros to play around with. This means they can build real sets.

"The intent is that everything within around five metres of the actors is real," explains co-producer and Star Wreck mastermind Samuli Torssonen. "Of course we have to try and save money, by building around half and mirroring the other half with computer graphics."

Iron Sky is set in the year 2018. The world must suddenly face an attack by Nazis from space, who escaped the end of World War II by fleeing to the moon in a super-secret project.

Wel, at last this film is actually in production.

After several years of preproduction, the Finnish filmmakers behind Nazis-from-outer-space flick Iron Sky are finally turning their fan-financed sci-fi fantasy into a reality.

It remains to be seen if the final product will live up to the wow-inducing Iron Sky trailers, which pulled in 8 million views before principal photography even began. But director Timo Vuorensola and his team have begun shooting their movie based on an outlandish story: Toward the end of World War II, Nazis fled to the moon in flying saucers. In 2018, they return to Earth seeking revenge.

Well at least they're missing out on a lot for no real reason.

Btw I believe this film will be in English, not Finnish.

I guess its different when you grow up with subtitled movies and series, and I can understand why someone, who is used to the majority of popular culture being in their native language (English), finds it difficult to watch subtitled stuff. But it still smacks of laziness and being spoilt with having the majority of movies in your language in my narrow little mind. Like someone, who has never done manual labour, complaining of the strain. Its good to be used to doing some REAL work every now and then.

I agree. I actually prefer for movies to be in the original language with translated subs, especially when the language is directly related to the setting. It's weird to watch a movie that takes place in Spain, in which everyone speaks English.

Edit: What's with all the Nazi movies lately, anyway? Especially from Finns, of all people.
