http://market-ticker.org/post=204244"You will recall the incident of the beating of the black homeless man Sherman Ware on December 4, 2010 by the son of a Sanford police officer. The beating sparked an outrage in the community but there were very few that stepped up to do anything about it. I would presume the inaction was because of the fact that he was homeless not because he was black. Do you know the individual that stepped up when no one else in the black community would? Do you know who spent tireless hours putting flyers on the cars of persons parked in the churches of the black community? Do you know who waited for the church goers to get out of church so that he could hand them fliers in an attempt to organize the black community against this horrible miscarriage of justice? Do you know who helped organize the City Hall meeting on January 8th, 2011 at Sanford City Hall?? That person was GEORGE ZIMMERMAN. Ironic isn’t it?

NBC Apologizes for Misleading Editing of Zimmerman's 911 Call
NBC has issued an apology to its viewers for editing George Zimmerman's 911 call, placed prior to shooting and killing Trayvon Martin, in a way that made him sound racist.
"During our investigation it became evident that there was an error made in the production process that we deeply regret. We will be taking the necessary steps to prevent this from happening in the future and apologize to our viewers," read the Tuesday statement from NBC.
Zimmerman shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26 in Sanford, Fla. Zimmerman was in a neighborhood watch program and called 911 to report Martin as looking suspicious before the shooting.
An episode of NBC's "Today Show" played an edited version of that 911 call.
In the edited version, Zimmerman said, "This guy looks like he's up to no good. He looks black."
In the unedited version, though, Zimmerman said, "This guy looks like he's up to no good. Or he's on drugs or something. It's raining and he's just walking around, looking about."
Then the dispatcher asked Zimmerman, "OK, and this guy, is he black, white or Hispanic?"
Zimmerman answered, "He looks black."
Media Matters, a conservative media watchdog organization, brought attention to the editing. NBC announced Saturday that it would review the matter.

http://www.kfdm.com/shared/news/top-..._vid_360.shtmlBEAUMONT - April 2, 2012 - Beaumont Police have arrested a man on a murder warrant for stabbing and killing April Michelle Danna, 27, according to information KFDM News has received from Officer Veronica Payton.
She says officers served the warrant against Jaylan Williams, 32, Monday night in the Jefferson County Jail. He was arrested Sunday on charges of assaulting detectives who were interviewing him about the murder, according to Officer Payton.
Payton said Williams knew Danna and detectives at the Beaumont Police Department were talking with Williams Sunday when he became irate and began assaulting them. Two other officers were in the room and restrained Williams. He was arrested and charged with assault on a peace officer.
Payton said detectives spoke with witnesses Monday who linked Williams to the killing.
Danna's body was found late Friday night in the parking lot of a shopping center on Washington Boulevard.
