Too bad I don't feel proficient to get involved in serious discussion concerning God and teleological arguments.

Sarmatian also brings up some good points even though I can't wrap my mind around the UNIVERSE = GOD, I find it very tenuous to impute God the properties or features of the universe since we all know from the dawn of civilization the notion of God has always been related to a supreme being who has created the world or something thus Spinoza's God doesn't really appeal to me.
God is a specific term, i.e. Yahweh, or a generic term. I think the thread has turned into a rather generic thread with various posters providing their own input and feedback.

There's no perfect definition of God as much as people would like so the best that can be done is to simply discuss it more or less like the philosophers used to do in ancient days and like skeptics do these days. Irreligious input ought not to be discounted as it often serves to polish the beliefs and argumentation of the believers, whoever they are.

Yes there is, the Abrahamic Gods are most definitely given the attributes of Omniscience, Omnipotence and Omnibenevolence, be it Islam, Christianity or Judaism.

A concept that wasn't arrived at overnight and which had large inputs from a variety of other sources.

As an aside many passages in the Greek stories give the same attributes to Zeus, but no one believes them because they're regarded as "false" and the Bible as "true."

True I am not making bones about what you saying, my point was that many people claim to know who and how God is, Muslims claim to know who and how god is through revelation so do Christians and Jews regardless if their concept of God is contradictory to logic or not.

It's a knowledge based mainly on someone else telling them what to believe as far as I'm concerned.

The main premise of this thread is the existence of the God and getting deep into religion will be considered trolling because non on us is educated enough to discuss strickt religious points

So, I will go back to the main premise by a question?
So Teyrn I ll need your answer?

What is an awareness to you? Do you think it can arise purely from physical world?
