Well, dark history or not but we had a monopoly on most of things about Balkans. This is the history, we cannot change it according to our desires.

Isn't it funny when monkeydonians claim that Greeks are Turks because of Turkish loanwords in their language? We would never act like that because we know that when you live under an empire it's only normal that you will eventually use some words of the official language in your own language. I doubt that in Slovenia this surname means Turkish ancestry. It's a very common surname, it's the 12th most common. Besides it means something in Slovenian, word 'turk'/'turek' ('türk' in the Prekmürsko dialect) = 'mushroom'.
