He's definitely not white in the sense that we think if it around here. Or white at all, for that matter.

My initial reaction regarding the PC outcry when I saw his picture was "at least he's not white".

I read that his father is white (Zimmerman is a German name--carpeneter, I believe) and that his mother is 'Hispanic', which of course could mean many different things.

To my eyes, he looks Central or South American--the Amerind influence is clear. He's not the whitey that the media likes to bludgeon in times like these though--meaning he's not WASPy looking by any stretch of the imagination.

Not only does he look mixed.
It looks like there is only one picture of him too.
So he can't really be classified.

I said close to 100% white in the sense that most cubans are white. Turns out he is part Peruvian.
If he was skinny we could probably get a better profile of him.

From his picture he resembles a Mestizo from southern Mexico or Guatemala. In other words Meso-American.

I'll leave the "white" business to the Colonials; All I think of thin is that he's a Predominantly European Latino, maybe 75%/25% or something like that.
