He's been in the news a lot in the US. He shot a black guy and this has caused a great deal of racial and political tension, with the media fanning the flames. George is clearly Hispanic of some sort, and probably mixed race, yet those on the Left are claiming he's white in order to drum up black/white racial tensions during an election year. He appears mostly Amerindian to me, but I'm no expert on these matters. I think one of his parents is from Peru.
Would appreciate your thoughts as to his racial makeup.

I don't think there's any substantial evidence that Zimmerman's father is Jewish, just bare speculation based on his surname.
In any case, in Southern California, Zimmerman would immediately be identified as a Mexican. His look is rather typical, in fact. Turns out he's half-Peruvian.In any case, he's a mestizo.
His mother must be at least 75% Amerindian.
