This is why we don't need to wage war against China. We just need to wait until democracy worthy of the name comes to there! Just follow our playbook from the Cold War - sit back and wait for the whole edifice to collapse.
Now I don't expect China to collapse in the spectacular way the USSR did. But what I do expect is that well within even the older posters lifetimes, there will be a "color revolution" in China, which brings in a multiparty democracy. All we gotta do is sit back and wait.

Actually, S. Korea's democratic revolution happened without our help in the mid to late 80s. Back then, we were just supporting "another right-wing anti-communist dictatorship". Then, the South Koreans rose up in "people power", forced the powers-that-were to buckle under, and allow multiparty elections. I'd say South Korea safely qualifies for that - with or without our presence.
Turkey? I'll admit I probably stretched my case there, though they're certainly on the road toward it, if we assume long run trends.
Latin America, VERY few dictatorships down there now. Take a look at Chile especially. Yeah, there's the usual influence-buying down there. But the worst of the "banana republic" type of stuff is pretty much over in the major countries. 20 yrs ago, the Brazilian senate impeached the president for being as crooked as a barrel of snakes...aided by a threat of people power. So Brazil's moving in the right direction too.

I meant the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China - NOT Chinese civilization in general. This thread is about the party, not the civilization. At any rate, nations collapsed even when there were no Jews to speak of. So the reference to Jews is just gratuitous.

Go back and read post #2 if you want to get to the real point of my posts. You're confusing me with someone who DOES see China as an exact match for the USSR.
