    Cold War - sit back and wait for the whole edifice to collapse.
    That gives the impression that you do believe China's case is like the USSR.

    Now I don't expect China to collapse in the spectacular way the USSR did
    Ok fair enough...

    there will be a "color revolution" in China
    I don't agree with this part, it wont be a revolution but a slow gradual change.....still though I hardly believe colours will change.

    Understandable. My motive in saying this is to pre-empt a few-but-vocal "kick China's ass" types - as if that were the only way to deal with China. I was just pre-empting them by giving them an alternate solution on their own terms.

    At this point, I call "even money" between "color revolution" a.k.a. "people power" and gradual change by the establishment (the latter is actually what the UK did throughout the 19th century to avoid revolution - and quite successfully too!). Whether the colors change or not, the substantive result will be the same.
