Absolute nonsense! I'm a lefty and I approve of preservation of ALL ethnic cultures. I regard this as being very important too because we all have such a rich history that it needs to be preserved, and not just Europe.
The world is becoming so technologically advanced and focused on the future that many have lost track of their past. And the past is important because it reminds us where we come from and there are many lessons to be learnt from it. This is the reason why I DO believe in preservation for all cultures.
I do not, however, believe that people of different races and cultures should be shunned for what they are.

Liberals are generally deluded (like Albion has said, it's rare for there to be a liberal Nationalist) and in order to rationalize and justify their delusions they just simply blank out reality or anything that counters their (very naive) idealism and only stick to what they've been brainwashed into and their equality deluded cliques generally. They aren't willing to probe too deeply and only follow the herd, all the while feigning individuality.

I think that the difference between American and European liberalism is showing again and again and again. You would call me a liberal but that's because you're American. Here in Western Europe I would be considered somewhat conservative (and utterly racist because I reject the multicultural society because both left and right support it here).
Americans would say that European politics (particularly Nordic and Dutch politics) is to the left from them but that's because from the perspective of the common everyday man here our political system would be centrist and Americans would be seen as ... far-right nutjobs. Even the VVD here (which is considered fiscally conservative here) would in fact be just to the left of the mainstream in the American Democratic Party.

I'd label myself as a Liberal. If you say I'm intolerant, this is completely implacable and unappeasable, Die!

European and American liberalism are far different. America is very extreme and both parties are defined in black and white ways. But there is also difference between regions. A liberal in Virgnia will be far different than a liberal in California for example. In Europe there are different liberal parties that look more at grey areas while in US there is more of a clash of more narrowly defined viewpoints.

Exactly. I think it also shows in the way in which the country is run: the winner-takes-it-all in the U.S (no coalition governments) and coalition governments here in Western Europe (Britain usually being the exception) and normally (particularly in the Netherlands) one would see parties from the centre-left and centre-right working together in cabinets like PvdA (centre-left), CDA (centre-right), VVD (centre-right to right) although now we are seeing polarisation as well and unlike in the U.S in the Netherlands that's considered a very bad thing and being seen as a sign of political unrest.
