Dandelion, I am failing to see what was behind posting such photos in a Macedonia pictures thread. As I have mentioned, the Hellenic language was used everywhere in ancient times, It was the Lingua franca of the time. People that weren't even Hellenic used the language as well. In Singapore the most used language is English, does that make them Anglo's? Does using the English language make us Anglo's?

Dandelion, I would also like to add that you shouldn't use the term 'Greek' or 'Greece' in regards to the ancient Hellenic language or people. 'Greek' and 'Greece' are relatively new inventions by the west. Those terms just make things confusing because modern Greeks are different to ancient Hellens.

Now back on subject....
Jakupica mountain. Solunska Glava is the name of the peak of the mountain which means 'Solun's head' (Salonika's head). Apparently on a clear day, you can see the city of Salonika from the peak.

Read again what I wrote. Used AS WELL and used ONLY is the difference. As I have mentioned, the Hellenic language was used everywhere in ancient times, It was the Lingua franca of the time. People that weren't even Hellenic used the language as well. In Singapore the most used language is English, does that make them Anglo's? Does using the English language make us Anglo's?
Greek language wasn't the lingua franca only towards North, but to Egypt and Italy too. For some strange reason though, you can find Greek AND Egyptian, and you can find Greek AND Latin, while you haven't found any other language than Greek
