Default Setting up a Pagan homeschool

As I understand it, in the UK it is possible to set up free, faith-based homeschools, that then receive some sort of grant. And by homeschool I don't simply mean teaching your kids at home.

In particular, is one allowed to only accept kids whose parents are members of that particular faith? How does the funding work?

Does anyone have any personal experience of this?

I couldn't tell you, but over here private schools and homeschools receive no money from the government, and thank goodness. Government money always, always, always comes with strings--strings that lead to the private entity being controlled by the public.

A Heathen or Pagan private school would ROCK.

I'm sure you're right about strings being attached. The money isn't all that important, but would it even be legal to only admit children of Pagans?

Hmmm. Sure. Hebrew schools are not forced to admit Gentiles, no? Most Christian schools do, but that's because they're 'universalist' and desire converts. A hypothetical Pagan (or Heathen) school would be far more like a Hebrew school, in that the only ones admitted are those in that particular religious community.

Of course, that's over here. Your nation's mileage may vary.
