Heybeliada, one of the Princes' Islands in the Marmara Sea, in which my father was born and grew up. This place is full of nostalgia and strongly secures its historical heritage, motorized vehicles are not allowed (except ambulances, police cars etc.). The transportation is only made by horse-drawn carriage or bicycles. From what my father told me; the island was highly multicultural; Greeks, Armenians, Jews, Turks have lived side by side. My father told me he dated girls from all ethnicities out there but eventually married a Turk.
