Yeah, they could fit easily in central-asian turkic countries.

Hazaras are genetically the closest to Uyghurs.
I think they're mainly a mix of Turco-Mongol men with local Persian women.
The haplogroup R1B M73 which is a clearly Turkic marker was found tat 32 % in Hazara men and the "Ghengis Khan" marker C3 was found at 40 % in Hazara men.
The mtDNA is mostly Caucasoid but also with significant Mongoloid Haplogroups.
I like Hazaras very much and I hope they get out of this sick country Afghanistan

We have a shipload of them in my city, very proud people, but also very aggressive...short people

Ive spoken to them a few times, they really venerate Chingiz Khan and Mongol heritage, but otherwise they are outwardly the same as Afghans/North Pakistani in general.

Sadly they are being persecuted in especially Pakistan, but also Afghanistan...

I don't think that Hazaras are so religious like Pashtuns and North Pakistanis. I think they are culturally closer to Kazakhs, Kyrgyz and Mongols with their Seppe nomad heritage.

Have you met any Hazara? Also, how can you rate a peoples religiosity and pit it up against what you call steppe nomad heritage as if they are opposites?

    Why are you so angry?
I was in a Hazara Forum and most of them don't like Pashtuns and they're not so religious from what I read. Do you know every Hazara in this world? You can not lump Hazaras and Pashtuns together just because they're muslims.

Not angry, but your statement didnt make sense

Yes, i can Imagen they feel animosity towards other groups, its a very tribal world in parts, ir not most of central asia..

Has nothing to do with which religion they follow, they could be Animist for all that it matters, i was only remarking on your creation of opposites in their heritage link to Mongolia as if that = less religiosity versus those whom do not have such a link..

None of us know all Hazara, so we cannot speak on their behalf, thats just my point, i am judging from how they dress and behave in my city, as we have a good number of them...they behave just like others from Northern Pakistan/Afghans in my city..i am not comparing them to how people behave in their native countries...

That’s interesting because I have R1b matches with Western Europeans, red hair gene, East Asian features and where my Kang relatives live in Punjab are said to have come in the 13th century and the area was settled by Nikudari legion of Mongols who were mixed with Afghans/Iranians and could explain the atypical features my family have for being Punjabi?

What a silly thing to say. Only fundamental pashtuns do and thats a VERY SMALL minority. Even some tajiks are like that. You get good and bad everywhere, Most humans HATE terrorists, so will MOST pashtuns, i think hazaras are beautiful and are AFGHAN just like pashtuns and tajiks and everyone else in afghanistan. It is not right to say pashtun = afghan

No you can't. Do you think Pashtuns are Mongoloids? Hazaras cluster with Uzbeks and Uyghurs and very far from Pashtuns.

Btw, many Hazaras up north where Tajiks with significant Turkic DNA are found tend to identify as Tajiks. Some of them are also mixed with Tajiks. I've also heard of some identifying as Turkic.

There was a Mongolic-speaking population of Hazara Sunnis that lived in Herat until recently. Now they all speak Persian, but are still Sunni Hazaras. The last Mongolophone Hazara died in the 90's if I'm not mistaken. Hazaras would also have significant Turkic ancestry, possibly even more than Mongolic.
