Well...no... Neither have I heard any priest, nor have I read any religious book, with regards to Christian Orthodoxy, where they mentioned it is normal for the head of the family, the man, to mistreat his wife... Family is harmonious unity, is unconditional love, faith, loyalty...tenderness, care, support. And it goes both ways, from the man to the woman...and from the woman to the man.
