What is your favourite commercial aircraft ? Well eventhough I think we Dutch should fly Fokker (which no longer exists) I don't think I ever had the chance of actually having been inside a Fokker aircraft and inside Europe I have used the Embraer-190.
My favourites though are both American-made which have left their mark on (an overall rather impressive) Dutch aviation history.
The L-1049G Super Constellation which served KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from 1946 to 1960 and which was frequently in old KLM advertisements:
And the absolute King of the Hill when it comes to commercial aviation: the Boeing 747 which in, it's various incarnations (since 1970) has become a household image for many people in this country when it comes to flying to a far-away holiday destination (or even the Canaries - which is a very popular tourist destination for many of my countrymen):
^As a matter of fact I will be climbing aboard this one, or aboards of it's sisters, within a couple of days.
