With most of these people that claim Native American it never shows up in their dna. I think a lot of Americans have family folklore about a NA princess in the family tree but it just appears to be a bit of a myth for the majority anyway. It is an interesting phenomenon. She gets the trace African though. I think some of these NA stories are actually SSA ancestry. Some people in the past claimed NA instead of SSA. It's so common to have Americans claiming NA and so many actors do it.

I personally think a lot of them aren't necessarily lying but just have a family myth of having NA ancestry. I don't know why they mention it when they don't have any proof as most of the time it appears not to be true. I know people say that the NA might not show up after generations but I still think they should get some if their ancestry was from the 1600s/1700s. Even Europeans can get trace NA from shared ancestry in Siberia which my brother gets on 23andMe and my mother and myself get on FTDNA so it should still be there if Europeans have trace from thousands of years ago.

Blacks and white americans are the same, they all think they have a Native American ancestor only because they find old family pictures and they see their great great great great grandmother with a short height, long hair, high cheek bones, semi mongoloid eyes and with that, they think she was mixed with native american. But those are traits found in Europeans, even in black Africans (except the long hair part)

If you are 1/32 or 1/64 it wouldnt show up in your DNA. But you could still have a rumour or orally tradition in your family

im glad she was tested and came out with no Amerindian ancestry, because if she would've scored <0.1% Native, people would've been claiming some throw back genes or some shit like that LOL
