I wouldn't be surprised if Chinese actually boiled whole nests with the eggs and chicks inside them.

If you watch Iron Chef you'll know what it is.

It's a delicacy, a gross one.

Some type of swift, that build saliva nests.

So dissolved swift saliva nests in soup.

Swift nest is built out of the birds saliva, plus dirt or mud. There are white, yellow and red nests. The saliva makes the soup go more gelatinous, apparently it's high in minerals and its meant to be very good for you. It's the most expensive delicacy in China.

I think it's gross to.

I fancy myself fairly open-minded when it comes to food. But bird's next soup just does nooootttt seem like something to be consumed...
