According to the UN's special commissioner for human rights, Richard Falk, Israeli keeps minors locked up in solitary confinement. They are arrested and locked up for minor offences like hanging out their own (Palestinian) flag. As is stated here in this Dutch news article.

Say what you will. I still admire the old Shah us americans put in power. I also think that american leaders should be doing anything they can to get along with Mahmoud Ahmedemajad.

I voted for our client state of Israel because Iran is Muslim, and you all know what I think of THEM. However, I think that it is long since time that we cut the apron strings and made Israel stand on its own two feet.

If Israel cannot survive without a continuous infusion of subsidies from the US, then so be it. Israel has had 64 years to become a viable entity on its own. What it has not had is an incentive to do so. Maybe we need to tell them that this is the last time we are going to pull their chestnuts out of the fire.
