Good to see Celtic folklore still well and alive. See, that is the type of thing that a true European preservationist would want to preserve!

Italians,at least those from south and middle (if you consider Campania in middle Italy also) have the faces much more rounded than iberians.

I agree with Clementina, italians tend to be more dinarized and alpinized, while some iberians tend to have slight cromagnid traits
Estimated Racial Composition and Percentage of Indigenous European Populations according to Richard McCulloch
Remark: The author doesn´t consider Cromagnid as a separate raceItaly = 50% Dinaricized Mediterranean, 20% Dinaric (most common in the north), 15% Alpine (most common in the northwest), 5% West Mediterranean (most common in Sardinia), 5% South Mediterranean (most common in the south and Sicily), 4% Noric (most common in the north), 1% Nordic (most common in the remnants of the Ostrogoth and Lombard aristocracy)
Spain and Portugal = 75% West Mediterranean, 19% South Mediterranean (most common in the south), 5% Dinaric, 1% Nordic (most common in the remnants of the Visigoth aristocracy)

Spaniards have a longer head while Italians have a rather round head - on average. That´s the main difference imo. Also Spain has more Celtic types, whereas Italy has more Nordid influenced types. And the third point would be that Spaniards have rather short noses, compared to rather hooked Italian noses.

In Spain there are more Atlanto mediterraneans, in Italy more Dinarid mediterraneans.
This is the main difference.

Also, the West Med proper type is more prevalent in Iberians, which often gives even their Mediterranean peoples a distinctive look. West Med types are present in Italy too, more toward the middle of the country rather than at either extreme.

You can make the difference between a spaniard and a south or central italian very easy.
What I noticed as very visibile difference, except the nose, which is shorter at most spaniards is ,at males, the high and wide cheekbones which are present at most males from Spain while women in average have higher cheekbones than those from south and centre Italy.Women do not have such high cheekbones as male,in Spain, but still are visibly higher than the cheekbones of the women from Italy.
