War is war, if you happen to be on the wrong side you're fucked..Malta was one of the most heavily bombed countries in WWII and my Grandpa also was a soldier with the Royal Malta Artillery.

No hard feelings to the Germans, if Germans won..Europe wouldn't be in such a mess it is today for sure.

The World War actually started from Belgrade. Nevertheless, the German people, who are by nature so ready to forgive and forget, felt no animosity toward that country. TURKEY was our ally in the World War. The unfortunate outcome of that struggle weighed upon that country just as heavily as it did upon us.

Kingdom of Yugoslavia was a doomed state from the start. It had clamped down on ethnic freedoms so heavily that only Nazi Germany could dream of doing. The denial of whole ethnic groups (Montenegrins, Bosnians and Macedonians) to their ethnic identity. The repression of language, self-governance and subject to Serbian colonization.

It sure didn't help that KoY was founded by Western powers to minimize Italian intrigue in the Balkans. Yugoslavia, in reality, was only a puppet that was useful for the Allies and dismembered when it stopped being useful. Yugoslavia, ironically, helped the Allies despite its neutral position in the Cold War by blocking Soviet access to the Mediterranean via the Adriatic. Had this block not existed then the Soviets would have free reign to the whole of Mediterranean and inevitably the Atlantic sea and Suez canal.

As for Hitler? I don't care for the guy. He willingly supported the Bulgarian war propaganda of denying our ethnic identity through the Nazi census Germany carried out to justify Bulgarian annexation of Macedonia.
