I mean no offence or hate, just hear me out. You see, many groups across the internet and many people have this view that we are not European because of this. In fact, I believe that in the future, Europe could retaliate against the "muslim countries" in its backyard. Would it not be beneficial for us to go back to our Christian roots by reconverting and changing "muslim" names; if you don't want to believe in Christianity, feel free to choose any other religion or just stop believing. I'm worried about our future as even here is the US, we have ignorant people as in Europe who want Albanians out of Europe. I believe that Albanians are at risk from far-right groups and neo-nazis as well because of islam. Now that you have the details, what is your opinion?

I think islam for albanians has not done so much bad,because they do not really care about it.
However,for bosnians islam seems to be a real disaster....I saw lots of women from Bosnia being dressed in Islam style...
Sure,it would be really good for albanians to switch back to christian orthodoxy since they already have there a patriachate.

Well my ideas on religion are a tad out there, I think God has basically planned for certain races/ethnicities to have different religions and religious outlooks on life. Perhaps there is an unseen, mystical explanation as to why Albanians are Islamic. What if Islam protected their Illyrian heritage somehow?

So, no, I think Albanians are OK as they are. As long as their Islamic religion doesn't persecute others or others don't persecute them for their religion. But of course, religion depends on the individual. So if you wish to be Christian that is fantastic.

Albanians are ilyro-traco-dacians very closed to montenegrins,genetically and 2nd to serbians and also to romanians from south .
Now most romanians,serbians,montenegrins are christian orthodox while albanians are muslims and that is wrong.If they would pass to christian orthodoxy we would finally have here good relations between Albania and Serbia.

Beside,christian orthodoxy makes the people more free,because is not preaching that absurde image of a God who gets offended and so on and keep the people under constant fear,as muslim religion does.

Well, I come from an orthodox background but I don't think the Serbs like me very much So the question should better be asked to them instead of us.

this is kinda ridicilous thread since it isn't important for albanians wich religion you believe in.we can't order a whole population to change his religion,you're albanian and you know how we view religion so you know that we aren't so dependent on it like our neighbours are.wich far rights or neo-nazis are you talking about,they don't do anyone any harm,they're chickens who just like to talk big but no deeds.we're a proud people with a proud history,religion never had a big impact on us,like it had on our neighbours.

Ultimosity, it`s obvious that you are just a 18 year old poor youngling without any self-respect. If you call these people as "ignorants" then why you wanna do what they prefer for you to be? Do you give importance to what ignorants says?

I am not a muslim myself but this doesn't prevent me to notice the anti-muslim propaganda going all over the west. Have some self-respect and don't listen what "ignorants" says.

It wouldn't be wrong to say that if there would be no islam among Albanians then there would be no Albania and no Albanians today. You all would be hellenes of Epirus today, considering yourself as the champion of the Greeks just like your so-called "Arvanite" kinsmen does in Greece and the rest of the minority would desire to be Italians.
