England's controlled a few islands in the Caribbean for longer than that and some are still with us.

The union has left a huge legacy but we never formed one ethnicity. "British" is just a catch-all term for English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish, Cornish, Manx and Channel Islanders.

I suppose it could be used as an ethnic label by people of various British Isles ancestry, but blacks calling themselves "British" is doing it no favours.

Give us names! Cairngorms is Jacobite country.

Like I posted ages ago, names found from all over. I'd assume some of the Brits or those with Brittish ancestry have matches.
Don't get your hopes up, I'm not going to be cheering for Bonnie Prince Charlie any time soon.

Basically Northwestern and North-Central Portugal, so Southwestern Europe.

If you want to go into detail following the Noble family bloodline (at least what is commonly accepted by geneologists) you'll eventually find Basque, Burgundian, Visigothic, Ostrogothic, Frankish and Roman ancestors that don't really matter because it was such a long time ago.

Mostly Catalonia, but also Highland Aragon, Basque Country and Occitania. I'm a Pyrenean highlander living by the Mediterranean beach.

By the way, the areas above were controlled by: Celtici, Romans, Alans, Visigoths, Moors and "Christians" until modern times.
