A nice wee surprise many get in Scotland. The sunsets here on the far North & west Coast are amazing. When I was in Lewis pure red skies every night.

Nice to see Plockton in the nice weather, when I went it was pissing down, walked up the hill to the back of the town. lol

I nearly missed the sun before I had a chance to take the photo, it went down so quickly!

Yeah, it was boiling in Plockton that day- I was very sad my car air con was broken. It was that afternoon I drove on to Skye and swam in the ridiculously warm sea and then barbecued some haggis.

It tis. Clouds hitting hills are extremely common. You go down parts like the 'rest and be thankful' down Argyll or other valley areas like up to Skye on a wet day, plenty of burns/waterfalls running down.

Having sunshine is perfect too, lay about some of the Lochs or beaches like you did.

Yes, for camping, sun over rain was definitely preferable! Especially as my tent was a bit lightweight. It was chilly at night as it was. I had to use all my towels as extra blankets, and even a friend's old curtain I randomly happened to have in my car
