I don´t see why not. They seem to have no problem paying for twice the amount of food than a person of average weight.

Yes, they should, and maybe it will teach them that this is the price for being fat. I think that certain people should be taxed at fastfood restaurants, so that they don't cause themselves harm. If we do not restrict and regulate the eating habits of certain people through certain state measures then it will create a burden on the state.

People will have to pay for the health problems that these negligent and abusive people have to deal with, because of their poor behaviors.

I also think an extra tax should be applied to having to pay for two seats, which will show these obese people just how much of a burden they are. Its time that we start approximating a more proportional response to the burden and cost some of these people cost others, and especially the state.

    Yes.

Because if the plane is full and they have purchased only one seat, but actually need more, theres going to be trouble.

If I was that fat I'd be happy to pay. I'm sure that the people making the most fuss about it are PC idiots rather than the fatties themselves.

    Yes, they should

Its not a physical trait you born with (too tall), or due to an accident (broken leg), but something he/she can't control, so she/he should pay for it

I've flown with many different airlines (including KLM) and the seats all tend to be the same. Although oddly enough, domestic/short international flights seem to have more roomy economy seats than long international flights, which never made sense to me. You're paying more and for a much longer flight, they couldn't manage to make the seats a little more comfortable?

It's weird but I have flown KLM on both inter-European trips and now intercontinental but I have found the seats on the inter-European trips to be annoyingly cramped while I could bear the long trip.

The seats on the Embraer that I used to fly to Norway and England are 17.0" and those on the Boeing 777 17.5". So it shows that minor differences are still very important.
