I'm gonna be in the minority on this one, but I don't see phenotype as an issue; anyone can assimilate to a culture if they have the mind to. That being said, people with certain physical traits will stand out in the crowd.

Pretty much any person assimilated will have zero impact upon the recipient country's genetics in the long run. It's when people start arriving in large masses the problems really start.

Then again there is an issue of identity problems and insecurities for children born from mixed parents so that's why it's not something to be encouraged.

I'm find with anyone who does not look out of place, who leads a lifestyle compatible with the location's culture, and who is there either by birth, marriage, direct bloodlines within the past three generations, and/or highly skilled trade.
