The only reason people really convert to Islam is the fashion. If a religion wants to gain converts, they have to find something to compete with those kufis, qaftans and niqabs.

Otherwise, Islam is a religion that is so legalistic i.e. "the Prophet (SAW) told Abu Bakr, told Aisha, told Usuf Ali Ben-Gaba told Salami Salami Baloney that it is haram to breathe out of your left nostril at 2pm on a Sunday. - Hazrat Salami Sahih Al-Bakri. Book 69." I can't possibly see what its appeal is.

Seriously, just check ANY YouTube video about Islam, or something related to Islam, and you'll find pages and pages of Muslims ARGUING WITH EACH OTHER over stupid, hairsplitting, legalistic, dogmatic minutiae BULLSHIT.

Just that alone is enough to keep someone from converting.

These women are usually those who first involve themselves in a very hedonistic lifestyle and when they are spent and are unable to find a decent mate, pretend to be virtuous and chaste and convert to Islam to find a man that controls, demeans and abuses them.

Here in the Netherlands they might just as well have joined the Dutch Reformed Church and live like those women out in the Bible Belt. It's better than treason.

They should have returned to the good old ways of the farmer's daughters and wifes there (which is now becoming increasingly extinct):

I would not call them bimbos, since many of them seem educated and cultivated. There is no evidence to suggest that they have low self-esteem or mental and emotional issues, they seem to have come from families that were relatively normal. There are many reasons why they converted some of it is traditionalism, conservatism, and others were indeed in it because they have found the truth. Well they certainly feel atheism to have offered nothing and so they look for other faiths. The converts often study other faiths and then they make their decision in joining a religion that they feel is for them. They also feel Christianity has been altered or changed and Islam basically stayed the same, and especially in regards to it's message. Since they might come from a nominal Abrahamic tradition they want to stay in that area, however since Judaism has closed it's doors for converts, Islam still has them open and in fact encourages it. What is your opinion of male converts of Islam like Yusuf Estes and Hamaza Yusuf?. Their backgrounds are Anglo-Saxon American and Anglo-Greek and now both are renowned Islamic scholars.

My opinion ? Is that they are traitors that should have their passports taken in and themselves put on the next available flight to Mecca with a persona non grata-status. Maybe they can get Saudi citizenship. And if not ? Well sod them.
