    Default mtDNA

I want to know more about the mtDNA. As a man I get my X from my mother.
As women have two X, does that mean I pass my mothers X to my daughter and she also gets one from my "wife" her mother.

Is it worth doing a mtDNA test as a male or is the autosomol enough?

A man only passes his y-dna to his sons. A mother passes her mtdna to sons and daughters.

A man does not pass on his mtdna haplogroup.

mtdna is not the X chromosome, it's a mitochondrial DNA.
