Arabic, because it's fun to scare people at the airport.

    Polish, because it's great.

Basque: The original european language and it is unrelated to everything.

Welsh: Tolkien. I love the sound and it is ancient.

    Russian: It's important.

    Mandarin: Very important.

Latin: Because it would help in learning other romance languages and give me access to a wealth of literature.

I am a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, his works inspired me to learn German and others.

I have already tried to learn by my self Russian, Welsh, Icelandic, Danish, Scottish Gaelic, Anglo-Saxon, Hebrew, Finnish, German and Italian, and of course I quitted trying to learn most of these languages, but it was funny, and at least I have a general idea about them.

Don't worry, it's not your fault. I tried that for two years and never got passed a very basic level. My Sanskrit teacher (who had been living in India for 25 years and studying since he was 18 - he is now over 50) had said that a minimum amount of years of intensive study required for someone to learn Sanskrit is about 12 years.

It's not your brain capacity, it is the fact that it is an extremely elaborate, dense and vast language. It's not like you can go and learn Spanish in 2-3 years, if you know what I mean

I would like to know how to speak german.
I heard and read references that german language covers completely anything one tries to describe perfectly.
For instence, this german guy i know told me once if you havn't read nietzche in german you can miss out..
This other american scholar states: if you dont speak german you're an ignorant.
(Dont ask me for the name)

I wouldn't mind learning German, but I would probably like to focus on Palatinate German.

    For this reason:

Pennsylvania German, or Pennsylvania Dutch is descended primarily from the Palatine German dialects spoken by Germans who immigrated to North America from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries and who chose to maintain their native language.

I am fairly proficient in German, but the "fun" part of German is the grammar and the adjective endings. Sentences can literally be toyed with...It's murder.

If one has the time, I suggest reading Mark Twain's "The Awful German Language". It's funny and quite true. up http://www.crossmyt.com/hc/linghebr/awfgrmlg.html

The other languages I've studied thoroughly are French, Spanish and Scottish Gaelic. French wins with the easiest.

In my bucket list includes an understanding of Old English.
...oh and btw, Arabic is a nightmare.
