I think there's only one animal in Africa capable of killing adult rhinos. I've seen it once on National Geographic... otherwise adult rhinos have no predators.

People afraid of coyotes? Had to do the deed a few times to protect some horses.
As a child we had to watch for bobcats as well as to protect smaller animals, one of 'em severely wounded a dog of mine.
Both bobcats and coyotes can be dealt with easily by humans if one is stern and well armed, they are skittish animals. The only time one has to really worry about a coyote is if it is desperately hungry and even then a good shot ends it.
