Default Two Different Types of Racism - Comparison

I just saw a awesome Thread on Anthroscape

    Treopod writes
One thing i have noticed is that people are quick to label any kind of controversial statement regarding race as "racism" without thinking about the reasons for the statements. (the behavior im about to talk about is seen everywhere in real life but its more subtle, its mostly on the internet that ive noticed that people will openly talk about it being racist)

For example most non-black women do not want to date black men because they simply find them physically unattractive, so in my opinion that would not be racism, cause they cant help that they are not attracted to black men.

In comparison many women stay away from middle eastern men because they have the stereotype of being terrorists and treat women badly, muslim stereotypes etc. This imo is actual racism cause they assume that most or all middle eastern men are this way without treating them as individuals, so even if they might be physically attracted to them, they dont want to date them because of the stereotypes that they are associated with.

so im going to make 2 short examples here of the above and make a poll to see which of them you think is racist or if you think both are etc.

    1. women that avoid certain races of men because they dont find them physically attractive.

    2. women that avoid certain races of men because they have preconceived notions based on racial stereotypes.

so which of these 2 is racist behavior and which isnt?, are both or neither racist?

    My Thought
2is more likely to be racist but i voted neither, because 2 could also be interpreted as caution because middle eastern men are really sometimes aggressive, mistreat women and too much into this "honour" stuff

The problem is, in our hysterical political atmosphere, which is reflected on that thread, it comes down to this: You are "racist" if you have any semblance of preservationist belief and if you don't drop your pants for everybody. The bar is intentionally set that way. You are also "racist" if you recognize any group differences.

Keep in mind the word "racist" was coined by the left to begin with, yet people recoil in horror when the word is thrown around, fearing it striking them, as if the word was coined by Christ himself.

I read once a Black Guy infested a couple of Polish Girls with AIDS. And when they asked for Condoms he called them "Racist" to make them sleep without Condoms with him. I dont know if i repeated the story 100% correctly but i think i remeber that.

edit: if a girl refuses me based on my race, i wouldnt call her racist. I just would move on without hard feelings.

Blacks routinely throw that around when whites won't shut up and give them their way. If you work around enough blacks, you will see it quite commonly. Mexicans copy them to a degree.

Eventhough some People are really Racist and can be called as such the Word Racism is overstreched in my humble opinion. Not everything we dislike is racism.

True. Not everything is racism. But PC has made the race and culture issue like a field of landmines.

People have personal preferences and they are not all rooted in racism. People are naturally drawn towards those who look like themselves. Opposites attract is not true. You are most likely to feel comfortable with someone who has the most in common with you and it does not begin or end with race. Two lawyers are more likely to hook up than a lawyer and a mechanic, because they have more in common.

Not everything we dislike is racism. But much of it is, and much of it isn't. I think there might be a different driving or motivating factor involved. Someone might not feel attracted to someone else because they are not the same race. It's a matter of personal preference. Then someone might force themselves not to be attracted to a particular person they like, because they are of a different race. This could be rooted in racism. I hope I expressed myself clearly here. I wasn't sure how to put it in the correct words.

#1 is not racist. Not being attracted to a certain race is not racist.

#2 is racist, because it demonstrates that someone will hold every person of a race accountable for the actions of specific individuals of that race.

EDIT: Wait do we mean avoid for dating purposes or in general? I was assuming dating purposes for #1, general interaction for #2.

You usually say what I am thinking in a way more clearly than I could.. this is one of those times.

Racism is Racism but yes there is different types of prejudices though. They are often played on different platforms.
