I've seen people considering it to be related with the spread of Dinaroform and Upper Paleolithic traits among Atlanto-Mediterraneans.
It may not be exactly dinaricized (in the sense of coming from the same strain as in Balkanites and Central Euros) though but certainly some convergence exists.

That's Leon Lučev, he's from my island (Zlarin), I know him personally Yes, he's dinaric and I think this teacher is same anthro type as him. Lučev is middle aged man, and among them and older generation flat heads are common (my father-completely flattened back too), because in the past there was cradling practice for newborn babies or they lay all the time on the back (like my father did) so head is completely flattened as result.
Charleston Coon wrote Dalmatia has high dinaric concentration (70%), but new anthroplogical studies show Dalmatians are dolicocephalics. Do you think the population replacement occured ? No, those are the same people whose fathers and grandfathers were classified as dinarics by Coon in 1930s but today they would be classified as meds (darker ones) or nordics (lighter ones) because of increased skull length among the young generations (improved nutrition and freedom of movement during infancy)
My teacher looks pretty usual, he isn't exactly like Italian or Iberian or Greek and his facial morphology is sharp and typical dinaric (close-set eyes, thin lips, prominent nose). Ofcourse there are tall meds, but they have different features in my point of view.

Coon didn't really separate well between meds but little do most fools that classify all midget Iberians as atlanto-med that atlanto-meds were mostly found in the balkans according to him.
This is for obvious reasons when you look at height averages in Europe. So I do think that he can be classified as atlanto-mediterranean.
