Dinarid is a type most common in West Balkans with extreme brachycephaly and flattened occiput being some of its main characteristics.
Close set eyes and nasal convexity are common among members of this type but they are neither a mandatory condition for being Dinaric, nor an exclusively Dinaric trait.

Baskid is not as brachycephalic as Dinarid. Baskids are said to be mesocephalic or mildly brachycephalic. Baskids also display Cromagnid traits. Unlike unmixed Dinarids, Baskids can have light eyes and even blond or red hair (brown is, of course, also common among Baskids). Dinarids, on the other hand, display such features only when mixed with other phenotypes (chiefly Nordic).
