I see no reason to ridicule KidMulat or his family. That's uncool.

His posts are always respectful, and frankly, he doesn't deserve to be treated unkindly.

His interest in European culture is legit because he probably has European ancestry somewhere in his background...as many Creoles do.

There is nothing wrong with admiring cultures that are different from your own, either.

He is no threat to the genepool, so i see no reason to hate him.

I am of European descent; I have penetrated and continue to understand my African and Indigenous roots however I am really trying to get the llast roots that got me to where I am today.

I can pretend and say I am not of european descent. I can lie and think that my forebearers left no imprint that would alter my life but it'd be just that; a lie.

My family is "mulatto" the records say it from the 1700's on; some where white, black or native but they gave that identity up when they entered my main branches.

While I do from the bottom of my heart know all the hardwork and dedication my family had to create a better life for themselves and children I also am well aware that it was their European heritage that gave them the upper-hand on less european peoples.

It was inheritance from their white fathers, it was "goodly features" percieved as attractive, and their light skin that at time (and even today) t was connected in the minds of whites and blacks around them to equate that to intelligence; all of which helped them attain what they received.

    That is not to deny or invalidate them of their endurance and struggle, but it puts into motion the next question;

"If their gain came from European forebearers than why deny them?"

I can only suppose it is the one drop rule that came into effect only in the 1920's and 30's that got them to deny what was literally on their faces; before hand it was just known, know some may have shared more in the plight of other ostracized and marginalized peoples darker or lighter (and some really did) but that did not negate the acknowleging all of our ancestors. Sadly even with its abolishment JC has spread (mostly by internet) into the international racial conciousness.

Take me to West Africa and even though some may see me as one of them; a cousin or ataka many more will call out my european heritage. To some darker less European derived black Americans I and my family only got to where they where because of their heritage and phenotypes rather than seeing it as the multi-layered colonial cluster-fuck it is.

So this all brings me back to your question "Are you European or even cacausian?" Yes and no; I am not in my entirety soley of european backgrounds and ethnic groups but I have benefitted (and/or have been treated with scorn) from having links indirectly or directly as has my family rooted from brutal historical periods in the Americas.

Its undenible that I am where I am because I am european (Just as I am African, and am Indigenous American) the amount is not precise, that is irrelevant; their is no line delineating where I no longer get any advantage or more disadvantage over other because of my phenotype I simply do.

For the second question: "Are you here asking to get mocked?"

I do not care if I am mocked in the first place. I am here because I am who I am; because I am like it or not of european heritage that I wish to participate in, connect with, share together with others on here and so long as Loki sees fit I'd like to stay here and conversate on the historical and contemporary events and situations of our ancestors and people no matter how distant (which may vary from person to person)

Hopefully you get what I am saying!

She reminds me of a local dancer woman I keep bumping into lately named Cleo Parker Robinson. Has a white mother.

No doubt its the lipstick and the hair color ; I remember the first time I saw her those where the things that I connected.

We don't have people who look like that in our family though; something about the nose and the shape and tone of her face that would be quite an anamoly in our family.
