For real. When I was younger I wanted virgin dudes with no previous gfs because I was insecure and controlling. As an adult I'm more confident in my self worth and literally couldn't care less, the right man wouldn't compare me to anything previous to begin with and if he does it's his fault. Plus I don't want to have to train up an inexperienced virgin guy on how to be in a relationship with a woman, too exhausting. And men who are obsessed with virginity are the same, just insecure and controlling and masking it with some ideological crap that is very fake. Even the most religious man I've been with who had healthy confidence genuinely didn't care and never brought it up that I wasn't some dainty sheltered virgin who had never seen a penis before, definitely just a confidence issue for men tbh. I feel like everyone online either thinks sex is some horrible dirty thing that degrades you if you do it even once outside of marriage or it's some completely unimportant thing that has no significance and I think both camps of people are mentally unwell.

No one likes to live with uncertainty. I doubt I had more or less teen angst than the next. "what am I going to be when I grow up?" is the main question. Little questions are there too. "What college will I get into?" "When will I be able to afford a car?" "Will I even get my license?"


Losing my virginity answered two hormone-driven questions. "Will a female ever find me sexually attractive?" and "Will I be any good at sex?"
This doesn't mean I didn't have those other things I could go into existential despair over but it was a weight lifted off my shoulders.
