has it happened to any of you living in central and nothern europe that many times u come across someone and you think they are turkish or arabic and it comes up they're from spain, portugal or italy?

here in my town we have A LOT of immigrants from Spain, South Italy and Portugal and with a lot of them you see them and you often think they must be from lebanon or turkey or morocco and they are actually europeans from spain for example.

So reading about southern europe I came to the realization that Spain was occupied 850 YEARS BY THE AFRICAN MOORISH... that's only 150 years away from an entire millennium!!!
think about it.... go back 850 years from now and we'll be in the year 1162.... that's the dark ages!!! that's how long the moors dominated Spain.

So i asked some spaniards in yahoo and I got insulted they got really really mad and defensive!

Being honestly, dont you think that during SUCH A LONG TIME there was not racial mixing between the spaniards and their moorish invaders???? I refuse to think that there wasn't any mixing....

In southern italy is the same, while North italy looks very alpine, very european.... southern italy being the seat of the roman empire was often a place where people from all of the mediterranean would go to, arabs, there were even negroes in rome, it's been recorded in roman transcripts, there were turks, people from the far east, egyptians, and so on all living in Rome thru over millenniums of roman power!!!

I cant make up my mind if i should consider south italians, portuguese and spaniards white.
