Default The 2009 EU election results in sum - "European Socialism Suffers Body Blow"

I posted this on another forum I visit. The confusing world of EU-Parliament politics I tried to make as simple as I could, to impart my m,any boring hours of trying to make sense of it over the years. The figures in the below graphic are not exactly the blocs as they are currently constituted, but rather are based on ideology. Example: The FN in France is not attached to the "nationalist" bloc of which the moderate Danish People's Party is a member, but the two are clearly ideologically basically on the same wavelength - so I counted them together. Nor are the British Tories in the "center-right bloc" (for some odd reason) right now, but I attached them thereto as well...

    European Socialism Suffers Body Blow
Twenty years after the Fall of the Wall, left-wing parties -- including reconstructed communists and their one-time sympathizers -- have still been going strong all across Europe.

The latest news from Europe suggests this may be changing.

The recently-held E.U.-Parliament elections saw self-described Socialists and neoCommunists drop to under 30% of total seats, from their previous total of well over 34%.

    Highlights
-- The German center-left SPD (once a bastion of communist-sympathizers and Stasi agents) scored its lowest result ever.
-- The British Labour party went down in a pathetic defeat, scoring its lowest share of the vote since before World War I.
--Likely the biggest winners were the patriotic, nationalist, and in many cases quasi-racialist parties from east to west (many breaking through and entering the EU Parliament for the first time); from the clean-cut BNP in England, to the anti-Islamic Geert Wilders movement in the Netherlands, to the now stunningly-popular "Austrian Freedom Party", to the nationalist, racialist, anti-Gypsy "Movement for a Better Hungary", to the "Greater Romania Party" and the wildly-anti-Turkish "Bulgarian National Union Party", and back full-circle to the clean-cut Danish People's Party, among the most successful of the immigration restrictionist parties across the EU.

Results nation-by-nation and by party grouping (it's all very complicated for the uninitiated; you'll just have to trust my summary in the above...) --> http://www.elections2009-results.eu/...iament_en.html

It's not really significant from a preservationist point of view, since the centre right/conservative groupings are no better than the socialists. In some ways they are worse. Birds of a feather ... the myth of the correctness of conservatism. Same on a smaller scale in the UK. The Tories are no better than Labour, and in some respects they are worse, because of their elitism and lack of care for the poorer sections of the population.

The concept of the Political-Weltanschauung is an important one.

If we view 20th Century history [specifically the 1918-1989 period] as a massive three-way struggle for the domination of the European World (with spillover all over the globe), we see three sociopolititcal-Weltanschuungen emerge, vying for control.

    1. Capitalist-liberal-Democracy
    2. Soviet-model-Socialism
    3. "Blood-and-Honorism"

    #1 was the winner.

As you mentioned, ALL parties forming all the above blocs mentioned in the OP are #1s and/or defer thereto (Labour and Tories really are the same - it's not cynical to say so - they're both #1s...), except the small Nationalist/Racialist bloc [#3] and the neoCommunists [#2] (and possibly some of the harder-edged Socialists). Politics never exists in a vacuum. Most people really are apathetic and so simply defer to the present sociopolitical ruling power, which has been #1 since 1989 all across Europe.

The great tragedy for us all on this forum is not only that #3 lost the European Kulturkampf of the 20th century, but that because of the way events played out - #1 continues to radically and wildly demonize #3 to this day as literally evil and inhuman, in order to keep it dead to cement #1's victory. Believing in ethnocultural-continuity as a guiding principle is one of the most evil mental acts possible- if you're skin's white.

The traditional Finnish left wing collapsed totally in the EU elections.

The moribund Left-Wing Coalition (i.e. ex-Communists) lost their only seat. The Social Democrats only got two seats, and of those one went to a novelty candidate, the Orthodox priest/con artist Father Mitro, who isn't even a member of the party.

On the other hand, the Finnish extreme left wing, those delusional kakistocratic negrophiliacs known as the Greens, got two seats.

But Loki is right btw: traditional right-of-centre parties are hardly any better from our perspective.

The most clear way to observe the fact that they are all in cahoots with each other, is when they attack the BNP as one man after their (BNP) success in British elections. The Conservatives, Labour and Lib dems all stand together and declare that the BNP is "not a normal political party". What they mean in fact, is that the BNP is not part of their establishment clique who work together to destroy the European ethnic fabric and culture of society. The interesting part is that they never label the UKIP in this way.

Who cares about the losss of the traditional Left when the green and communists parties won? And the so-called nationalist bloc will fail again because once again it won't be able to form a parlimentary faction (at least 25 members) and thus remain without any parliamentary right in Strasbourg.
Brother, these Americans are shopkeeper souls stinking to heaven. Dead for all spiritual life, totally dead. The nightingale is right that it does not come to these wretched existences. To me it is of serious, deeper meaning that America has no nightingale at all. To me it seems to be poetic justice. A Niagara voice is necessary to preach to these crooks that there are higher Gods than those coined in the mints."

Exactly right, specifically because UKIP does not fundamentally have a "Weltanschauung", as far as I can tell. They're just sort of noisy ineffectual complainers.

The BNP, otoh, are clearly against Capitalist-Liberal-Democracy and its policy of "profits and 'freedom' above all" and universalism.

The BNP are a resurgant #3 in European politics, as with the Le-Pens and Wilders' (though some have called the latter a neocon, I dont really know). The forces of #1 are scared at the specter of a revived-#3 in European politics.

The forces of #1 are scared at the specter of a revived-#3 in European politics.
This simple fact really does explain why so many ridiculous lies continue to be shouted at us about WWII; it serves as a political weapon to keep #3 dead. (Unlike the atrocity propaganda of the 1914-1918 war, which were admitted afterwards to be fabrications ... The admissions of their falsehood were possible because the 1914-1918 war did not involve conflicts of "political-Weltanschauungen", all the governments were basically old-order-ites ["#0s"]).
