Social science isn't the type of science as biology, no. For one, sociology is heavily influenced by leftist philosophy. There are influences of the left in other sciences such as psychology, etc., but I don't think there's a field as polluted by it as sociology. Indeed, the field itself seems to have been founded by Socialists.
