I wasn't entirely sure where to put this topic, so hopefully this area is fine.
I am not sure if anyone here has more information on this or not, as I have searched the internet and have found very little, yet from some experiences I've had in Europe seems to be a rising problem. What I am wondering is if there are any website or resources out there that provide a general overview of the frequency of human trafficking into "white slavery", and more particularly the trafficking of white North American and Western European women in Western European nations. Any kind of database keeping records of pausible abductions and their frequencies by Western European nation and/or city? You read articles about this sort of thing happening in third world nations, but rarely in western Europe and when it does it almost always seems to involve Eastern European women.
The reason I ask is that yesterday I found myself for the third time randomly confronted in a transtation by a coloured male who began to immediately ask me questions. The first time was three years ago, when I was approached by an Arab who persistantly attempted to lure me into some shady sex shop wherein he claimed there was an internet cafe...he claimed to have some kind of injury to his hand and was unable to type and was looking for someone to help him type. I refused outright and kept walking though he continued to follow and attempt to convince me (even after me blatantly telling him to fuck off) until I finally got to the train station.
The other two instances took place in the Munich train station, and the "spookiest" just yesterday. I was walking away from the info booth toward the exit in the Munich train station when literally out of nowhere I was approached by a black African male who asked where I was from. The situation at this point seemed all too familiar so I decided to play along to see what kind of bullshit he'd try to feed me where as the last time I merely walked away without response. After finding out I was from Canada he started asking me if I spoke French (after which he began speaking to me in French), if I was a tourist, what I was doing, with whom I was traveling, where I was staying. After the question of whether I was a tourist I provided only false answers, and after the last I told him I had no time for this shit and tried to walk away, after which point, he tried following asking why I had no time to talk a little bit until I turned around and asked him if he thought I was that stupid and told him to fuck off. After leaving the station to look for a place to stay directly after this encounter, I was admittedly quite edgy. Looking over my shoulder as I approached the exit I noticed two Arab men following behind who seemed to be trying to look like they were having a conversation but who kept eyeing me. Not knowing whether I was being paranoid or not, I walked out the exit with them behind, stopped at the bottom of the steps near a ramp and stood for a second to see if they would stop or keep walking. They, too, had stopped and where standing around talking, and obviously keeping an eye on me. I went back into the station and they moved up the steps again though didn't enter the station. Basically I booked the closest hotel possible (I usually stay in hostels but I'm not fond of the one in Munich for a situation like this).
The fact that they seemed to take interest on where I was from (the first two times I shared no information whatsoever but were very quick to note that I was North American via my accent), and at least on one occasion were obviously working within a group led me to believe that their motives were something more than just one guy trying to lure some girl off into a secluded area, nor were they attempting to rob me. While I understand such confrontations happening perhaps once if at all to a female traveling in Europe, I find it strange that it's happened three times and two of which were quite close to one another.
So my question, while wanting to know perhaps from local Germans or other Europeans who know of such instances in their nations if there are any statistics regarding this sort of thing: are certain train stations known to have problems with abudctions, possibly related to organized crime, of white western women? Has there been a rise in the problem, and particularly of the targeting of North American women in the last few years? You never read articles about it, but I'm sure there have been white westerners at those stations who didn't realise what was going on and actually fell for the bullshit these guys come up with. How many and what serious measures being taken to put an end to this if any?
And yet, with people like this on the streets harassing law-abiding individuals, I wonder how the German government, or any western government, can really justify such strict weapon laws. Especially when law enforcement doesn't seem to care much.
