Name Just Ten Countries
Let's say that there's an alternate history or a parallel universe. Europe is comprised of just ten countries. Which ones would you pick to represent the continent? What countries would best serve as a good sample of the whole of Europe?

2.Sweden

4.Italy
5.Poland
6.Russia
7.France
8.Germany
9.Ireland
10.United Kingdom
I tried to incorporate northern, southern, eastern, and western countries. I would have included the Netherlands were it not for Ireland. I had to include both countries of the British Isles because of their combined impact on American culture and institutions. That said, I respectfully give an honorable mention to Tuan's beloved Dutch compatriots.
