    Well no, the Romans didn't had an impact, as proved later with genetics, and I doubt the ancient Iberian were basque-like, related of course, but not the exactly the same thing..Basques are just a branch of the iberian peoples.

    It's not that the average person from each looks so different but you have phenotypes in Italy and Greece that could never exist in Spain;

    Group photos of RANDOM people is the best comparison material. Not athletes neither celebrities.

    Having been to a Greek festival I can say, most of the people there looked Southern European and while a trained eye would know the people were not Spanish, I think most people could have confused the majority of them for Spanish.

    I used to think Southern Europeans all looked so different but really, you find the same basic Med types in all of them (Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece) and the difference comes in that Iberians have more Atlantic and Berid influence and Italians and Greeks have more West Asian.
