The tallest natural giant was a man called Angus MacAskill who was 2.36 m tall. The Dinka are on average 176 as far as I know; impressive considering living conditions and such, but not the tallest people or close to being so.

Swedish men were on average 1'60's in the 16th-17th century.
In the mid 19th century the average height for Norwegian men was 1'68.

Highlanders have more Scandinavian ancestry. That may or may not be the reason why there aren't as many Gaelic Irish strength athletes, though. I made sure to add "Gaelic" because there are great strength athletes of Northern Irish descent. There was a Welsh winner of the Strongman Competition way back when too.

North Europeans are taller than South Europeans..OK?
Er...only in some cases.

Here are some facts:
The Dutch are the tallest nation.
The area about Bulgaria and Turkey seems to be shortest for both males and females.
Some Northern nations have very short women (Britain and Finland) and the male mean of these nations is only medium.
Some Southerners like Greeks and Spanish are not short at all.
French,Swiss and Hungarians are shorter than many of their neighbours.
Any thoughts, people?
MEAN WHAT YOU SAY AND SAY WHAT YOU MEAN.:

Height means nothing. The fact is on average Northern Euros are taller than Southern Euros. Southern Euros who are tall probably have good dose of Germanic blood.
