Kazakhs: What would you mistake them for?

I work with a few of them and to me, they look kind of Mongolian or Japanese but occasionally the ones who are mixed with European look pseudo-mestizo and could pass as an atypical Mexican.

Tatars can look really different, it depends on how much they are admixed and yes I agree that Kazakhs look more Mongoloid, but I have seen some Tatars who look similar.

Kazakhs are descendants of Turkic clans/tribes like Argyns, Khazars, Qarluqs, Kypchaks and Mongol tribes like Kiyat, Dughlat, Naimans, Kerait, Onggirat, Manghud, Jalayirs.
and y-choromosome C is most common haplogroup in Kazakhstan due to the Turkicized Mongol tribes.

Also only Kazakhs and Kyrgyzes look that much Mongoloid.Many Turkmens and Uzbeks are mostly Caucasoid.
