Where in Europe is your perfect climate?

Which is your favourite climate in Europe? Name the place, describe its climate and explain why it is your favourite climate.

I would say the Greek climate is close to perfect. Or was - as the climate has been rapidly changing over the last years and we've had an incredibly harsh winter for Greek standards, and a long and persistent heat wave this summer. Also the middle seasons are disappearing, we often pass directly from summer to winter and from winter to summer, with few intermediate temperatures in between.

I think the mediterranean climate is considered ideal by most people, hence they come for vacations from all around Europe. But I don't think there's such a thing as an ideal climate, all come with benefits and drawbacks. In the South, for example, we have dry spells.

To me, an ideal climate is dry climate. Hot or cold, it doesn't matter. As long as it isn't humid. I hate humidity more than anything.

Canarias, if we consider it as Europe, Portugal, Italy or Spain and Mediterranean islands in second place, the rest of South Europe in third.

I would love to live in Germany, Poland or Austria.

I'm extremely picky about weather.

In my opinion a perfect climate consists of:

. Clearly distinguishable seasons, but please without excess (spring and autumn are wonderful in Central Europe but winter is generally much too cold and summer much too hot).

. I want some rain at any time of the year. Best places are those where watering the lawn is never needed. But I also desire enough sunshine in summer to grow strawberries, mint, salvia officinalis and lavender in my garden.

. Snow in winter is a prerequisite. A week or two for practicing cross-country skiing in the hills is OK. But two or three months is an ordeal. I've spent a winter in Quebec and believe me, that drives you mind. After Xmas you're ready to go amok and commit mass-murders.

The best conditions I can think of are found just where I'm born, in the hilly bocages of South-Western Normandy.

Bosnia has been describer as Spain during the summers and Scandinavia/Siberia during it's winters. IDK about you but I LOVE the weather patterns here and wouldn't change Bosnia for anything
