    She's fully Maniot.
    5 Stages of Grief:

Denial: The initial stage: "It can't be happening." Maniot is on top of me.
Anger: "Why ME? It's not fair?!" (either referring to God, oneself, or Maniot perceived, rightly or wrongly, as "responsible")
Bargaining: "Just let me stay to post another day Maniot, please."
Depression: "I'm so sad, why are you picking on me Maniot?"
Acceptance: "It's going to be OK." There is always Skadi.

She looks fairly Central European. I'd mistake her for a Czech or Slovak.

Do most Greek surnames with the ending -akos come from the southern Peloponnese? I know someone with that name in person who is from that same region.

-akos names come from eastern Mani, while the -eas ones come from western Mani.

Is -akos the same as -akis pretty much, meaning "son of"? (I think that's what -akis means in Cretan names but if I am wrong then I apologize).

All these endings (like -opoulos or -atos) mean that. Even the turkish -oglu that some Greeks from asia minor have (like Perperoglu or Kaimakoglu) mean the same.
